Terms & Safety Rules

Last updated: 5 July 2026

SlopeShare facilitates ride coordination between members and is not the transport provider — it is not a taxi, carrier or transport company. By using SlopeShare you agree to these Terms & Safety Rules. Current version 2026-06-safety-v1.

The English version is the legally authoritative version during the private beta.

The rules everyone agrees to

  1. 1. Community ride sharing, not a taxi

SlopeShare helps people who are already driving to a resort share their free seats for credits. It is not a taxi or commercial passenger-transport service, and drivers are not professional carriers.

  2. 2. Drivers must be licensed and insured

If you offer rides, you must hold a valid driving licence, be legally allowed to drive, and have a roadworthy, insured vehicle. You confirm this during driver verification.

  3. 3. Treat each other with respect

Riders and drivers must behave respectfully and considerately. No harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive behaviour of any kind.

  4. 4. Meet only at safe, public pickup points

Pickups and drop-offs should happen only at the approved, public pickup points in the app. Don't arrange private home pickups through SlopeShare.

  5. 5. Drive and ride safely

No dangerous driving, and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Wear seatbelts, secure gear, and follow local road rules. Unsafe behaviour can get an account suspended.

  6. 6. Report problems

If something feels wrong, use the in-app report and block tools, and the in-ride Safety button. Reports help our moderators keep the community safe.

  7. 7. The Safety button is not an emergency service

The in-ride Safety button helps you reach help and flags a ride for review, but it is NOT a replacement for the emergency services. In an emergency, call 112 (or your local number) yourself.

  8. 8. This is an MVP / beta

SlopeShare is an early-stage product. It is not yet legally reviewed or insured for public operation and may change. Use it accordingly and at your own discretion.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for your own safe and lawful behaviour on every trip.
  • Drivers must hold a valid driving licence, be legally allowed to drive, and have a roadworthy, insured vehicle. SlopeShare's verification is a manual review, not a legal licence check.
  • Follow local road rules, wear seatbelts, secure gear, and never drive impaired.

Credits

  • Credits are a prepaid in-app balance used for SlopeShare ride contributions.
  • Credits are not cryptocurrency and have no value outside the app.
  • In this MVP, credits are not withdrawable or redeemable for cash.
  • Refunds are handled case-by-case during the beta — see the Refunds & Credits policy.

Private beta — provided “as is”

SlopeShare is an early-stage private beta, not yet legally reviewed or insured for public operation. It is provided “as is”, without warranties, and rides happen at participants' own responsibility. See also the Safety and Privacy pages.
